Where – Qormi.
Who – Andrew Vassallo.
What – basic steel works.
In the year 1986, in the vibrant town of Qormi, a remarkable journey began. Andrew Vassallo, a visionary with a passion for craftsmanship, laid the foundation for what would become a renowned legacy in the industry. With dedication and a commitment to excellence, he started from humble beginnings, focusing on basic steel works. Little did he know that this small endeavor would grow into a symbol of quality and innovation.
Our story is one of perseverance, growth, and an unwavering belief in the power of hard work. From the initial sparks in a modest workshop, Andrew Vassallo’s dream transformed into a thriving enterprise, setting the standards for future generations.
Recognizing a growing demand from clients, the company expanded to a larger 360m² fabrication area in Sta. Lucia. This move enabled the import of essential construction materials and consumables to better serve our clientele.
The company began manufacturing products under the brand Andrew Vassallo Aluminium and Steel Fabrication Works and started importing goods under the V&C Cast Iron label, enhancing our product offerings until 2005.
We rebranded as Andrew Vassallo General Trading Aluminium and Steel Works, expanding our operations to include manufacturing, imports, and exports, which solidified our presence in the market.
A significant milestone was our relocation to a 3,000m² facility on Tarxien Road, Gudja, where we consolidated all fabrication, storage, and retail functions under one roof, creating a centralized hub for operations and growth.
To further enhance our product range, we invested in a state-of-the-art uPVC fabrication line to produce high-quality windows and apertures for the local market.
We opened a modern showroom designed to elevate the customer experience, showcasing our extensive product offerings and providing an interactive environment for clients to explore.

Have always been impressed by the quality and variety of their products. Today I used their after sales customer service for the first time and I was equally impressed by their client commitment, attention to detail and service in genera.
Excellent service and wide variety of products.
Andrew Vassallo General Trading Ltd., to start with, the place itself is impressive, big enough to browse and gain ideas just by looking around from a huge variety of items. The reception staff were welcoming and Ryan in particular was patient and professional in dealing with my request for a quote. Worth a visit.
Excellent support, knowledgeable about their products, with very good prices.
Very professional works and great customer services. 👍👍
After comparing quotes from multiple vendors, we chose Andrew Vassallo for our PVC apertures, and we couldn’t be happier with the decision. They provided a high-quality product at a very competitive price. Bekka and David were outstanding-professional, patient, and attentive to very detail, ensuring everything met our expectations.
